Historical Period Lectures
Enrich and strengthen your child's musical education!
I am proud to offer 5 lectures on history, music and art. We will view art from the US and Europe, play CD's, talk about composers, authors, painters and historical events. This is an excellent and rare opportunity to greatly enhance your child's education and appreciation of music. It is my un-debatable opinion that students will benefit greatly in their understanding of the culture and the music. Therefore students grade 4 and up are required to attend these lectures, especially if they are participating in the CM exams. If you have already participated in these lectures before, you can choose if you want to attend.
The dates of the 5 lectures (subject to change):
Starting from January 2010 at 7:oo pm The Baroque Period (1600-1750) January 28th The Classical Period (1730-1820) February 11th The Romantic Period (1800-1850) February 25th Age of Progress (1850-1914) March 11th Contemporary Period (1914-present) March 25th
Cost: $100/child (for all 5 classes), parents free
